syngo.CT Lung CAD

syngo.CT Lung CAD (Computer Aided Detection) is a fully automated computer assisted second reader tool. syngo.CT Lung CAD is designed to assist radiologists in the detection of solid pulmonary nodules during review of CT examinations of the chest. It is intended to be used as a second reader tool after the initial read has been completed - as an adjunctive tool it alerts the radiologist to regions of interest (ROI) that may have been initially overlooked.

Features & Benefits

syngo.CT Lung CAD results are automatically pre-processed immediately when chest CT datasets are sent to syngo.via. All results are presented in syngo.via’s Findings Navigator, where relevant findings can be reviewed and reported easily by going through the CAD-marked potentially suspicious lesions.

Reading and reporting suspicious lesions of the lung parenchyma is a routine task in any CT dataset that includes the lung. In general syngo.CT Lung CAD is able to:

  • detect round and irregular nodules
  • detect central and peripherally located nodules
  • detect solitary nodules, as well as those adjacent to vessels and pleural surfaces
  • Automatically pre-processes and marks potential solid pulmonary nodules
  • Storing all findings in syngo.via’s Findings Navigator
